Climate change vulnerability assessments evaluate how climate change will impact a specific system (e.g., a river basin, water sector, country, or city). These assessments go beyond the exposure (e.g. rainfall) by also considering the system's characteristics (sensitivity) and its ability to adapt (adaptive capacity). The results help to identify near-term actions to prioritise, as well as identify those the longer term issues.
