Statements

Water scarcity can be defined as a lack of sufficient water, or not having access to safe water supplies, which is worsened by climate change by disrupting precipitation patterns and the water cycle. Currently, two billion people lack safe drinking water, and about half the world’s population faces severe water scarcity for at least part of the year, as climate impacts intensify.
